Dr Syed Qutaba Bin Tariq is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering. He earned his PhD in 2024 from University Malaysia Pahang, specialising in Fibre Metal Laminates for Aircraft Engineering. Prior to that, he completed his Master's degree from NED University of Engineering and Technology (NEDUET), Karachi, in 2014. Dr Qutaba’s research focuses on Fibre Metal Laminates, Natural Finishes, Machine Learning applications, and Surface Treatments. He has successfully led three research projects at University Malaysia Pahang, recognised for their excellence in abrasive water jet technology. His professional goal is to deliver advanced engineering knowledge and skills to students and the wider community. Dr Qutaba aims to cultivate professional excellence by disseminating interdisciplinary knowledge and fostering innovative problem-solving skills within the engineering community
