Dr. Mamoon Ur Rashid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, BUITEMS. He received his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Peshawar. His research explores functional porous materials such as Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs), and hydrogels, with applications in biosensing, genotoxicity and drug delivery. In addition, his work addresses drug–macromolecular interactions, nanomaterials, 2D chalcogenides synthesis, and advanced spectral analysis. Dr. Rashid has served in multiple academic roles, including Assistant Professor at BUITEMS (2016–2021) and at the University of Poonch Rawalakot (2014–2016). He also gained international research experience as a Research Associate at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, United Kingdom.
