Academic & Social Links

Arooj Khan is a Lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology at BUITEMS, Quetta, where she has been teaching since 2015. Her academic foundation blends science and policy, holding a BS and MS in Biotechnology. She is currently pursuing her PhD at BUITEMS, focusing on climate adaptation and community resilience in arid regions of Pakistan. Over the past decade, Arooj has combined her academic role with national and international engagements in climate action, education, and communication. She has served as a consultant and trainer with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), delivering communication and agribusiness trainings for agriculture and livestock officers. She has also worked extensively with organizations such as Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung (Germany), the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Balochistan, and Green Box Pakistan, focusing on youth development, social entrepreneurship, and policy advocacy.
