Dr. Syed Zaheer Abbas Gilani is a Professor in the Department of Physics at BUITEMS, Quetta. He joined the university in 2006 after completing his M.Phil. in Physics from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (2005), where he also earned his PhD in 2016 on nano-magnetic materials. With over 20 years of teaching experience, he is an HEC-approved PhD supervisor. He has successfully supervised MS and PhD scholars and is currently supervising both MS and PhD scholars. Dr. Gilani has published extensively in reputed international journals with good impact factors (Total IF~250), along with several national contributions. His expertise includes XRD, SEM, TEM, and the study of optical, magnetic, dielectric, and transport properties. His research interests cover nanotechnology, materials science, ferrites, spintronics, semiconductor physics, dielectric and magnetic materials, and energy materials.
