The industries such as textile paint and food consume more than 70% of the dyes produced worldwide. Methylene blue and crystal violet dyes present in industrial wastewater being non-biodegradable can be extremely harmful to aquatic plants and organisms and harmful to humans leading to large-scale destruction of ecosystem. To address the key issues regarding water scarcity and wastewater treatment, this project can substantially contribute to reduce waste generation via degradation, reduction, and reuse in order to minimize their adverse impacts on human health, ecosystem and the environment. In this research project the synthesis and post-synthesis of OTF-FAU, Clinoptilolite and H-ZSM-5 zeolites was carried via immobilization of TiO2 on these zeolites and to further enhance adsorption assisted catalytic and photocatalytic efficiencies of the immobilized TiO2 was co-doped with Fe0 and Ag metals to synergize the catalytic performance of the as-synthesized zeolites.
