Dr. Zafar Khan is currently an Executive Director of Balochistan Think Tank Network (BTTN), at BUITEMS. He is a Professor of International Relations, Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta. He holds an MSC in International Politics from the University of Glasgow, UK and PhD in Strategic Studies from University of Hull, Yorkshire, UK. He has also taught at the Department of Strategic Studies, National Defence University, Islamabad, Pakistan. His papers have appeared in various international peer-reviewed journals such as Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Comparative Strategy, Washington Quarterly, Journal of Contemporary China, Contemporary Security Policy, East Asia, and International Journal of Conflict Management. He has authored Pakistan’s Nuclear Policy: A Minimum Credible Deterrence (2015) and Nuclear Deterrence in South Asia: New Technologies and Challenges to Sustainable Peace (2020).
