Dr. Syed Hasrat Hussain Shah is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at BUITEMS, Quetta, Pakistan. He earned his Master’s in Mathematics from the University of Peshawar and an MPhil from COMSATS University Abbottabad. In 2012, he joined BUITEMS as a Lecturer. In 2015, he won the prestigious USTC Fellowship for his PhD at the University of Science and Technology of China, one of the world’s top 100 universities. His doctoral work focused on black hole formation in general relativity and modified theories of gravity, and he also researched electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational waves. Dr. Shah has published 31 peer-reviewed research papers in reputed international journals. He served as Head of the Department of Mathematical Sciences at BUITEMS (2019–2023) and is currently contributing as Associate Professor through teaching, research, and academic leadership.
