With over 25 years of experience across virology, biotechnology, and bioinformatics, I earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, specializing in Hepatitis C Virus genotype 1a quasispecies dynamics. As an Associate Dean and Professor at BUITEMS, I played a formative role in founding the Departments of Microbiology and Biotechnology & Informatics. I oversaw strategic planning, aided faculty development, and actively mentored students—many of whom have continued their studies in the USA, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, China, and Malaysia. Through leadership in these academic and administrative functions, I have shaped research programs and fostered international collaboration while guiding the next generation of scientists. urrently, I serve as a Visiting Fulbright Fellow and Visiting Professor at Emory University and Georgia State University.
