Academic & Social Links

Sumaira Zakir has been serving at the Department of Mass Communication, BUITEMS, since 2013. She has earned her MS degree in Media Studies from RIMS, RIPHA International University (2020), and LL.M from University Law College Quetta (2018) with distinctions. She has been teaching Media Laws & Ethics and other Law courses as visiting faculty in University Law College, Quetta, since 2015. She also contributed to establishing the Department of Law at BUITEMS in 2021-2022. Since Fall 2022, she has joined the Department of Law as a Lecturer and served as Director of Law (2022 to 2023). Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Creative Arts & Communications -(Cyber-Crimes Law) analyzing Information Disorder and Digital Governance Challenges in Pakistan.
