Dr. Asif Raheem is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology within the Faculty of Life Sciences and Informatics at Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Quetta. He earned his PhD and MS/MPhil degrees in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. His doctoral research focused on the "Plant Growth Promoting Potential of Rhizobacteria under Abiotic Stress," laying the foundation for his ongoing research interests. Dr. Raheem's expertise lies in rhizobiology, particularly the isolation, identification, and molecular characterization of beneficial bacteria that promote plant growth under challenging conditions such as drought and salinity. His work aims to develop and commercialize these microbes as sustainable biofertilizers. He has a strong publication record in national and international journals, including the Archive of Agronomy and Soil Sciences, PeerJ, and Tropical Animal
