BUITEMS Celebrates 21st Convocation – 2025 with Distinguished Participation

The Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) successfully held its 21st Convocation – 2025, celebrating academic excellence, institutional progress, and the achievements of its graduating students. The ceremony marked a proud milestone for BUITEMS and reaffirmed its position as a leading institution of higher education in Balochistan.
The convocation was graced by Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Governor of Balochistan & Chancellor, BUITEMS, who served as the Chief Guest and conferred degrees upon the graduates. The event was further honored by the presence of Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Pro-Chancellor BUITEMS and Minister of Education, Balochistan.
The ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Hafeez, alongside Prof. Dr. Arbab Mirwais Kasi, Pro Vice Chancellor, and Mr. Mohammad Ahsan Achakzai, Registrar (Acting). All Deans and Directors of BUITEMS were present, reflecting strong academic leadership and institutional unity. Members of the Senate and Syndicate also attended the ceremony, highlighting the governance and strategic oversight of the university.
In addition to BUITEMS leadership, Vice Chancellors of other universities from Balochistan, along with prominent academicians, government officials, and other distinguished guests, graced the convocation. A large number of parents and family members also attended the ceremony to witness and celebrate the academic achievements of their children.
In their convocation speeches, the Chancellor, Pro-Chancellor, and Vice Chancellor highlighted BUITEMS’ continued progress and growing national and international recognition. They acknowledged BUITEMS’ inclusion in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026 and the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, noting that BUITEMS remains the only university from Balochistan to secure a position in global rankings. The leadership also reaffirmed BUITEMS’ role as the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) SDG Hub 8 Vice-Chair for Teaching and Education, reflecting its contribution to sustainable development through education and academic leadership.
A total of 736 graduates were awarded degrees this year, including 685 BS graduates, 41 MS and MBA graduates, and 10 PhD graduates, across various academic disciplines. The graduates were commended for their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence.
The convocation also included a solemn and respectful moment with the award of posthumous academic recognition to Mr. Aimal Zaib Kasi, BS (Environmental Science), Fall 2021, in honor of his academic achievements and as a gesture of condolence to his family. The posthumous recognition award, as reflected, symbolized BUITEMS’ commitment to honoring merit, dedication, and the enduring legacy of its students.
