Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) has entered into a partnership with FAO Pakistan to undertake Awareness Raising and Knowledge Management activities under the European Union–funded Revival of Balochistan Water Resources Programme (RBWRP).
The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Letter of Agreement (LoA) between Professor Khalid Hafeez, Vice Chancellor, BUITEMS, and Mr. Waleed Mahdi, Head of Office, FAO Balochistan, marking an important step towards strengthening sustainable water and climate-resilient practices in the province.
Under this partnership, BUITEMS will implement project activities in the Pishin–Lora and Nari River basins, focusing on community awareness, institutional capacity building, and dissemination of practical knowledge related to sustainable natural resource management.
The initiative aligns with BUITEMS’ commitment to contributing to socio-economic development and climate resilience in Balochistan, while supporting FAO and RBWRP objectives of improving livelihoods, food security, and environmental sustainability in the target areas.
